CREATIVITY THROUGH WORD CHOICE
Using the power of buttons, ink, and my computer screen, I create fictional worlds worth diving into, but now, I’m looking to expand my reach to that of marketing.
The year was 2020 when I first joined a writing contest that had a prize of $150. It wasn’t much, considering I submitted a 70,000-word novel, but it’s such an eye-opener that I even dropped out of school eventually because I wanted to pursue this journey. So far, I have several creations uploaded credited to me(Seisshuu), and many more novel chapters that I’ve co-edited.
Following this, in the year 2021, for fourteen fruitful dawn, I worked as a part-time copyeditor. I cracked the barrier of monotonous translated literature and added flair to attract clients. Simply writing ‘he talked with a smile and impressed others,’ was no longer my go-to; now, it should be ‘elation floats amidst his countenance, and as he opens his mouth to share life experiences, people were captivated.’ Obnoxious and too wordy, I know, but I can also shift this style to a simpler one, which I honestly prefer. However, more than the flowery words I season with a sprinkle of creativity, I can also proudly say that I’ve been a team player since I got promoted.
Fourteen bountiful mornings were changed into months of dedicated spot-checking when I became a proofreader in late October of 2021. Perfecting the grammar, spotting silly mistakes, and even correcting the 20-person team I command was inebriating as much as exciting. I led editors into a world of perfection, strictly yet nicely pointing out each and every one of their errors—to which I learned a lot. Now, I wouldn’t say that I was the best leader because, honestly, I’m more of a follower if we put the fact that I’m hella shy into the mix.
Nonetheless, I passed that unforgettable experience, and now, I want to grow, not just as a writer, but also as a person.
Education
2020-2021
BS Entrepreneurship
TUP
The year online class was implemented, I was a college freshman looking forward to that university life. Though compromised by the pandemic, I remained hopeful as I listened to my professors discuss seeking opportunities while facing the four corners of my room. Unfortunately, like most, I needed to drop out due to financial difficulties. I look forward to studying again, but I concur it'll happen once I have enough money saved.
2018-2020
Specialization: Animation NCII
San Francisco SHS
It was a brief decision to take this particular strand, but I was glad that, in some ways, I learned things I've never thought would interest me. I love watching animated films, and being able to put myself into the shoes of those behind the production was a good insight that has made me connect to what I really wanted to do, write. We created plots and complex storylines, adding in some research besides that, and I discovered that I have a better chance of winning if I focus on staying behind the screen.
2016-2018
San Francisco High School
Transferring to a public school where TLEs are given importance, I was left with no choice but to hone my illustration skills through Technical Drafting. The pressure, along with the mathematical equations, nearly made me lose it, but I managed to survive and one thing is certain: I'll never be an engineer or architect.
Services
With the experience that I managed to attain from my previous jobs (i.e., copyediting/social media managing), I now have the power and machinery to bullet through several services I can provide you, my potential employer.
